Red {Glendale, Arizona Children’s Photographer}

Isn’t he the cutest? I mentioned in a previous post that I have had a streak of red heads lately and they have ALL been the sweetest, calmest kids (well, maybe my red-head isn’t so ‘calm’ but she is sweet if I do say so myself). This little guy would just sit where ever I directed and smiled every time. He put up with me moving him all around to find the right light – I can tell he is going to grow up to be a very patient one. ┬áHis parents were very patient too – sometimes I wonder if people question if I know what I’m doing as I look at the sky and the sun and move people in and out of shadows. It can be tricky, especially in this blazing hot Arizona sun. But this family made it look easy and were so photogenic. This is part one of two series of pictures. I also got to take his best friend’s (and his mama’s too) pictures at the same location (which I’ll post in a day or two).

This picture below makes me smile:)

Literally seconds before I pushed the shutter button on my camera, the Christmas lights behind them turned on. I love how subtle that is in the background – these three are my favorite I think. I also love how you can see the great connection he has with his parents – his facial expression just says it all. Yep, these three are definitely my favorite.

Vicki Beautiful photos Joanna! You really have a knack for capturing the essence of the person you’re taking pictures of. Plus, I think the City of Glendale would be happen to buy some of your photos for their marketing plan… you make it look as good as it really is!
